零偏压电导峰

我们制备了Sn-Bi2Se3界面结器件,在低至250 mK的低温下研究其电导谱,首次观察到s波超导体和拓扑绝缘体界面存在一个零偏压电导峰,并于2011年5月率先在arXiv上做了报导。这一重要结果支持s波超导体能够通过超导邻近效应在拓扑绝缘体表面诱导出px+ipy 拓扑超导电性的理论猜想。

零偏压电导峰只能作为p波超导存在的必要证据而非充分证据。为了证明px+ipy拓扑超导电性的出现,需要像确定氧化物超导体的d波超导电性一样,借助相位敏感的库珀对(Cooper pair)干涉实验予以判断。我们为此制备和测量了第一个基于拓扑绝缘体邻近效应超导的库珀对干涉器(超导量子干涉器)。虽然这一器件仅仅呈现了s波超导电性的特征,但演示了通过进一步改进器件设计,从而发现拓扑超导和Majorana费米子的可能性。

由于SNS型束缚结构中的Andreev束缚态可以提供相干共振过程,从而承载零电压电流,为了判别Pb确实在Bi2Se3上通过邻近效应感应出了超导电性,我们在不存在Andreev束缚态的SN型开放结构的邻近效应区制作了正常金属微电极,并进行了电输运测量研究。我们发现感应出来的邻近效应区确实能够承载Josephson超流,具有类超导能隙,所以可以被认作是真正的超导体。
